  1. Thanks for this hands-on walkthrough — setting up Nagios has always felt a bit daunting for me, but your clear step-by-step explanation made the whole process so much more approachable. I especially appreciated how you didn’t just list commands, but also explained why certain configuration choices matter and how the server and client interact in real workflows. The way you laid out the directory structure, service checks, and notification settings feels practical and well-organized, which is exactly what someone needs when they’re following along for the first time. If I could suggest one addition for future posts, it might be a small section on common errors people often face during setup and how to troubleshoot them — that would make this already great guide even more robust. Overall, this feels like a very useful resource for system admins and DevOps practitioners looking to build confidence with Nagios monitoring — thanks again for sharing!

DevSecOps: Paradigm shifts are messy, but someone’s got to take the lead

A perfect storm of factors brewing in the dev, ops, and security worlds have created a window of opportunity to embed security into the application delivery lifecycle, in a needle-moving kind of way. However, security teams need to be the ones driving the DevSecOps charge or that needle will barely wobble. Given how many security practitioners spend their days putting out fires, adding “DevSecOps evangelist” to their job description is more likely to elicit groans than spur the desire to innovate application security. As understandable as that may be, unless security teams can create the groundswell needed for DevSecOps to stick, then another paradigm shift in computing will occur in which security gets Read More Click Here Reference:- This article was published on BestDevOps.com
